You use it, sometimes abuse it and often love it to tattered death: your outdoor gear.

It can be the difference between a comfy night in the elements and a wretched, sleepless, chafed, hobbled experience in the wilds you're supposed to be lapping up. No wonder we all spend bucketloads on it. Money well spent we say.

But it's hard to be across all the latest gear and techno advancements all the time, so we take the hard research yakka out of the shopping equation by doing the gear testing for you.

At present that involves giving whatever we test a good going over while doing the activity it's meant for - camping, trekking, biking, cooking...whatever.

But with a view to a quality base line, we're actively going out to the expert boffins that design and construct your favourite gear in an attempt to establish a credible and industry-agreed baseline for how we conduct our tests. So you'll know when we say something is bombproof, we've actually...well, allow us a little literary license in our adjectives. But you get the drift. Proper testing for proper reviews. Stay tuned.

In the meantime, check out the latest reviews in the panel to the right and below.

If you are in the outdoors industry and want to assist in our research of review baselines, or want some product reviewed, please get in touch with us!
