Mont Slinx Polo Base Layer
$169 / 280gsm
mont.com.au

Performance: Fast drying fabric stretches four ways to keep the Slinx next-to-skin at all times, important for all-over wicking which it did extremely well for something so thick. Ideal for multi-activity use across intensities in cold to freezing weather but not for warmer climes - it does its job too well. Stitch quality is up to the usual Mont standards – strong as an Ox on Red Bull. The addition of elasticised wrists would keep the breeze from slipping up the forearm, but otherwise couldn't find much to fault.

Feel: tight and like gloving yourself in ten Pomeranian fur pelts – comfort can’t be questioned. May be too tight for claustophobes (just get a bigger size).

Style: a Melbournite’s fave – comes in black, black and black and a classic, classy cut.

Materials: Polartec Four Way Powerstretch synthetic fabric - couldn't find out what the actual material was made of - assuming some kind of petrochemical, man made based fibre.

Materials: 100% New Zealand merino. You can even trace where the donor sheep lives by entering the baacode on you item of clothing into the website.

Made in: China
